We have three individually designed, ensuite, bedrooms, two of which are available to let at any one time. The rooms have been named after previous owners of the house. John Grant Thompson, a wood manager, who built and named Mount Barker in 1891. Subsequent owners were pioneering doctors, David Marr from 1927 to 1944 and Lindsay and Janet Henderson from 1944 to 1986.
The usual facilities are standard in all our bedrooms and we have added a few additional luxuries which we hope will enhance the comfort and enjoyment of your stay. All three rooms have Super King beds, one of which can be converted to twins. We provide a spacious morning room/guest lounge with a cosy log burning stove and our large Boot Room can be used to store and dry outdoor clothing, footwear, golf clubs, fishing rods and ski equipment. Bicycles and motorcycles can be securely locked away in our garage while there’s ample private parking available for cars.
